A male American Redstart sits on a thin branch in a young Cedar tree. Male American Redstarts have black heads and beaks, with the black covering to the tops of their wings and the tops of their bellies, transitioning into a lovely pale orange stripe on their wings and section of their tummy, with cream coloring at the bottom of their tummy around their feet. This Redstart jumped from thin branch to thin branch, examining my camera.

A male American Redstart blinks at the branches around him, scanning for delicious caterpillars or a better place to sit.
