About Ashley

My care for my work stems from a love of relationships and intricacies. I immerse myself in my local biosphere, on the web, and in the client space through observing, writing, building, artmaking, and divining.

Ashley stands in a sunny marsh, gazing off camera to the viewer's right. Her hair is deep blue, streaked with pale blue and purple. Cattails and button bushes fade off into the distance behind her.

Weaving on the Web

I am an independent consultant who has practiced user experience design, information architecture, and the design and execution of user research for 15 years. I bring my expertise to businesses large and small, non-profits, artists, musicians, mystics, and more to advance a more beautiful and usable web.

Divinatory roots

I have been reading cards since 2016. Lenormand was my first love, with Tarot chasing closely on his heels.

I studied Tarot in private mentorship with Lauren Hall here in New England, and over the years, my cartomancy influences have included — but certainly not been limited to — the works of Andy Boroveshengra, T. Susan Chang, Rachel Pollack, Camelia Elias, Lindsay Mack, Žhana Levitsky, and Benebell Wen.

My practice is heavily informed by personal gnosis, reflection, and imaginal journeying alongside the cards, local Spirits, and ancestral Guides. My method of reading the Lenormand and Tarot in combination has been informed by and developed through this personal work. Each deck sings beautifully on their own, but I am repeatedly floored by their ability to harmonize together.

As above, so below

I am conversant in traditional Hellenistic astrology with my own particular approach to the outer planets and fixed stars deeply embedded in both research and personal gnosis. I am passionate about bringing a grounded, animist perspective to the stars, and merging the heavens above with our lives and cycles on earth.
