Ashley’s Session Policies
These policies were last updated October 18, 2025. If you need to get in touch directly at any time, please email me at hello@ashleymcquaid.com.
Payment
Payment is due via Calendly at the time of booking, unless we have explicitly made arrangements in writing via email prior to booking. Calendly uses Stripe to securely process your payment. If you do not receive a receipt from Stripe, you can email me at hello@ashleymcquaid.com and I will forward you a copy.
No-shows
No-shows will not be refunded. A session is considered a no-show if you have not contacted me within 15 minutes of your scheduled appointment start time. That is, if your appointment is at 10:00am, you must notify me by 10:15am if you will not be coming.
Canceling & rescheduling
You may cancel at any time prior to your scheduled session for a full refund. You may also reschedule your session at any time. Please note that, if you seek to reschedule, my availability is highly limited and there may not be another time available (in which case I can issue you a refund).
I reserve the right to refuse to book you if you present a repeated pattern of last-minute cancellations or reschedules which disrupts my ability to book other clients.
Refunds
Refunds will not happen automatically when you cancel and must be initiated manually by me via Stripe. I will initiate your refund as quickly as possible upon receiving your cancellation, but it may take 5-10 business days for it to show on your card statement. You will receive written confirmation from me via email both when I initiate the refund and once the refund is cleared from my account.
If you require a refund for any reason after our session, please contact me directly at hello@ashleymcquaid.com first before initiating any processes with your credit card or bank. This is the fastest way to receive a resolution.
Privacy
All sessions with me are strictly confidential. Recordings from our session, along with any notes taken, are saved by me in Google Drive and will be used only for the following purposes:
- Reference for any follow-up questions you may ask
- Reference for any follow-up sessions which you may book
- My personal records of how particular Tarot and Lenormand cards present themselves in readings
When I write about Tarot or Lenormand cards in public (in blogs, essays, social media posts, or other formats) I will never share specific client stories, even anonymous ones. Writing will only reference “my clients” generally.
Should the need for a case study arise in the future, I will seek your written permission first along with the full context of the case. You will be able to review and approve any writing about your case (even if it will remain anonymous) prior to publication.
Liability
I do not provide medical, legal, or financial services. I am not a licensed therapist. I will not address questions related to making medical diagnoses. I do not make myself available for “emergency” readings. Divination sessions are not a substitute for a professional, credentialed service provider and can never predict anything with complete certainty.
Booking with me means that you acknowledge that your session is for consultative and entertainment purposes only, and actions you take after our session are at your sole discretion and are not my responsibility.
A wee note on skepticism
I am honored to read for anyone at any level of experience or comfort with divination. I pride myself on creating a welcoming environment for yanking at big mysteries with plenty of humor and curiosity. What I ask in return is for you to respect our shared space (whether that space is digital or physical) by:
- Not asking me “test” questions (my cards cannot predict lottery numbers or the exact sentence that you are thinking)
- Not asking me questions you wouldn’t want me to know the answer to (this goes doubly so if we’ve met before)
- Not asking me questions that you wouldn’t want to know the answer to
